Maserati, one of the leading Italian luxury car manufacturers in Italy, has decided to introduce the redesigned model of its current Levante as a first crossover for the model year 2017. The 2017 Maserati Levante SUV will not be a competent off-road vehicle, similar to the Land Rover Range Rover and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
This is because it will be aimed at luxury performance sport utility vehicles, like the Porsche Cayenne, and to a lesser level, at the new Bentayga of Bentley. As far as both external and internal styling is concerned, they will be similar to that of the Kubang concept sedan of Maserati, which was unveiled at the 2011 Auto Show in Frankfurt. However, buyers cannot expect the new Levante to be a genetic copy of the Kubang because the design lingo of Maserati has evolved since then.
2017 Maserati Levante Exterior
The new Maserati Levante 2017 is expected to be constructed on the own platform of Maserati, instead of counting on the running gear of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as initially planned. The platform of 2017 Levante is a redesigned edition of the back-wheel-drive underpinnings used in the Quattroporte and the Ghibli sedans, complete with the own Q4 four-wheel-drive system of Maserati. The new Levante will be somewhat shorter than the mid-size sedan, the Ghibli, though visibly wider.
The new Levante is going to be equipped with a vast gaping hexagonal grille with eight upright slats, swept-back headlamps, and a power dome cover, similar to those of the Quattroporte and the Ghibli sedans. It also comes equipped with high profile tires sit beneath the massively flared wheel arcs, suggesting a broader track and extended wheelbase for the new vehicle.
The new Maserati SUV is not going to get any modifications in its internal styling and it is expected to come with the same interior features as that of the Quattroporte and the Ghibli sedans. However, Maserati has made some contemporary tweaks in the equipment according to the modern day requirements.

Specs, Engine, 0-60
Regarding 2017 Maserati Levante engine options, it is going to be equipped with the same engine as that of the Quattroporte and the Ghibli sedans. As a result, the new vehicle will be equipped with the two different petrol engines, such as the V6, turbocharged gasoline engine. It will have the capacity of 3.0 liters and the V8, turbocharged petrol engine with the capacity of 3.8 liters. The V6 engine will offer the new vehicle the required power, ranging from 350 to 450 horsepower, whereas the V8 engine is expected to offer the new Levante a maximum power output of 580 horsepower.
The Overseas model of new Levante is expected to be equipped with a diesel engine, as well. This engine would produce a maximum power output that ranges from 247 HP to 345 HP. All the three engines will transmit the power to all of the vehicle’s four wheels and they will mated to the only available eight-rated computerized transmission because there will not be optional manual transmission. Consequently, all engines will make the new Levante to attain the velocity from 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds.

The release date is expected to be the early part of 2017 with the initial cost of $100,000.
