Those who have read the review on the Volkswagen Tiguan would know that the novel generation of the SUV is just the foundation. The German automaker is working on a variety of sport utility vehicles for its international markets and the Tiguan is the starting point. Furthering their dedication to the sports utility vehicle sector is a concept from the German car manufacturer, which has been unveiled in Beijing, with the name, the Volkswagen T-Prime Concept, which paves the way for a life-size sports utility vehicle, crammed with scores of technology.
Volkswagen T-Prime Concept Exterior
The VW T-Prime SUV is described as one among the most advanced crossovers in the world in terms of the external styling. It will be built on the MLB platform that shares with the Audi Q7 and the Bentley Bentayga. The outside look is impressive and the broad chrome grille in the front assists in delivering this look. Adding up to this are the sparkled wheel curves with gigantic 22-inch diameter alloy wheels.
Actually, the T-Prime Concept is a bit longer than the Volkswagen Phaeton and it comes equipped with the C-shaped LED daylight running lights with the GTE name, which is also similar to that in the Passat GTE. Both taillight and headlight clusters are designed with the LED technology that offers the concept high-tech exterior looks.

Similar to the exterior, the cabin comes with a bit innovative cabin, which has been designed to accommodate four people in a comfortable way. The cabin comes equipped with separate back seats and it offers a plethora of shoulder space and headspace for both front and back passengers.
The cabin comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster of size 12 inches and a curved touch-screen with the size of 15 inches, intended for the infotainment system. The steering wheel of the vehicle comes mounted with touch responsive controls and that essentially tells the driver that the SUV is future prepared. Furthermore, alongside there are the two big screens in the front, a display surface with the size of 9.6 inches, mounted between the two rear seats in the back. This assists the backseat passengers to adjust the air-conditioning and the seats by making use of the touch-responsive controls.
Beneath the hood, the Volkswagen T-Prime Concept comes equipped with a four-cylinder powertrain with the displacement of 2.0 liters. This power plant is finely tuned to deliver the highest power of 248 ponies and the highest twist of 370Nm. As the concept is a GTE, the engine offers its performance in combination with a powerful electric motor that separately produces the peak power of 134 ponies to offer the concept the combined power output of 382 ponies, whereas the twisted figure remains at 699Nm.
The T-Prime Concept will be offered with an eight-velocity mechanical gearbox to send power to all the wheels because of the all-wheel-drive 4MOTION setup that comes with a limited trip differential built into the mechanical transmission.

Although Volkswagen has not yet revealed the release date, the Volkswagen T-Prime Concept release date will be announced shortly.
