The Mazda Koeru Concept is the new crossover concept of Mazda that confines the philosophy of the KODO: Soul of Motion. This means that it exceeds the KOERU that combines power, energy and sophistication to bring value that exceeds the ordinary. Combining the core engineering principles of Mazda with slick, renowned design, the Concept is an SUV that turns heads. Its exceptional aerodynamic form optimizes airflow to improve vehicle stability, particularly at higher velocities, at the same time as special sound and vibration-repressing technology makes for a quieter, smoother ride.

Mazda Koeru Concept Exterior

Mazda challenged every technological convention while creating its pioneering SKYACTIV Technology. From redesigning the combustion engine, chassis and transmission parts to blending moving layout with aerodynamic competence, the automaker has taken all effective steps while reimagining the means the Concept is manufactured.
The Koeru Concept is an athletic four-door vehicle and its fluid stripes and general shape offer a strong similarity to the new compact crossover of Mazda, the CX-3. It is constructed on the same platform as that of the Mazda CX-5.

The Concept comes equipped with signature LED headlamps that remind the bright, powerful-willed eyes of a wild animal. It also comes outfitted with a KODO signature wing that conveys willpower. Highlights on the front and back wings of the vehicle extend towards the big wheels, which mimic the potent, legs beating the earth. The driver-centered steering and suspension cause an intensely pleasant drive.

The Mazda SUV Concept comes with a frivolous yet stiff body and chassis. These external designs articulate the elegance of a predator.
The body is both frivolous and ultra-strong, offering both improved fuel economy and exceptional crash safety. The chassis of the concept vehicle offers the ideal balance of accurate handling and travel comfort.

This conveys a direct association between the driver and the SUV, where the driving dynamics inspire confidence and protection. With a frivolous construction, the concept car offers more nimbleness and enhanced stability. The chassis of the vehicle also delivers sophisticated, linear handling, top-notch safety, and well-organized frivolous design. The concept comes with the external dimension of 181″ (L) x 74.8″ (W) x 59.1″ (H) with the wheelbase length of 106.3 inches.

The Koeru merges daring yet realistic beauty and self-esteem with the most recent SKYACTIV Technology of Mazda, MZD Connect and i-ACTIVSENSE. The Concept comes outfitted with advanced sophisticated safety features, as well. The wide proportions and low suspended cabin create a sense of volume and speed, making a formidable existence.

Engine

The Mazda Koeru Concept engine is also designed with the SKYACTIV technology that boosts torque, offers low C02 emissions, and exceptional fuel consumption. Although Mazda has not yet revealed the engine options, it is expected that it will be powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged engine with the displacement of 2.5 liters, which was used to power the Mazda CX-5. If it happens, the Koeru Concept will get the highest power of 155 ponies and the highest torque of 150 lbs per foot.

The more powerful models will come equipped with a four-banger engine with the displacement of 2.5 liters. This engine will be capable of producing the highest power of 184 ponies. The concept will be offered with both six-velocity manual and six-velocity automatic transmission systems.

To conclude, Mazda has not declared when it will demonstrate the production model. It is expected to be unveiled any time at the Auto Show in Chicago, but the Japanese auto manufacturer might delay on unveiling it, pending the much superior Auto Show in Geneva opens its doors.
