The Kia Borrego, which was introduced in the United States as a 2009 model year vehicle, was loaded with a teeth-rattling suspension and subpar interior. The model is still being sold in other worldwide markets with a different name, the Mohave. However, the California design studio of Kia, the Korean automobile manufacturing company, is looking forward, and they have imagined the Kia Telluride Concept. This is the second attempt of Kia Motors Corporation at a full-size sports utility vehicle.

Visually, the stout body and large chrome schnozzle bring the memories of Ford Excursion models back. Kia explains the Telluride Concept not as a crossover, but as a sports utility vehicle. It may be derived from the Kia Sorento, but it is 9.5 inches longer, 4.7 inches wider and 4.4 inches taller, with an increased wheelbase length of 11.9 inches than those of the Sorento. The new concept SUV is expected to come with the back suicide doors.

Also, it features a plethora of production prompts, such as standard-size mirrors and pillars, and body panels that are evenly stamped with natural surface details. The massive grille, manifold-LED headlamps, and five-spoke 22-inch alloy wheels with Hankook Ventus ST 275/45R22 tires. Nice details that once would have been untamed, show-car things are now required just to capture a fraction of buyers’ attention and the new Telluride Concept features all of them.

Interior

The Kia Telluride interior comes with three rows of seats, but it will be in folded position into the cargo bay, and nobody can sit there. As a result, the cabin of the vehicle offers seating arrangements only in two seat rows. Obviously, second-row seats have leg rests, but they go further, as well, with heart-rate screens and other physical sensors entrenched in the seatbacks. They trail body vitals and show the consequences on the door panels, which also demonstrate system notes. The new Telluride does not feature organizing blood-pressure sleeves, but it employs LEDs, adjoining the moonroof, which glows in a prototype of therapeutic glow, purportedly to reduce drowsiness.

In the new concept, the second-row passengers will be provided with the Harman/Kardon stereo system with seven speakers. The console allows the occupants to charge their Wireless headphones wirelessly, whereas a wireless mat charges gadgets up front. The automaker decided to fabricate the steering wheel, dashboard, and the door panels through 3-D printing, which would inform buyers where auto manufacturers are headed with modular components.

Kia Telluride Concept Engine

Power comes to the Kia SUV Concept through a hybrid engine, which is the combination of a powerful V6 traditional engine and a durable electric motor. The displacement of the engine would be 3.5 liters that will be capable of producing the highest power of 270 ponies. On the hand, the electric motor is finely tuned to offer the highest power of 130 ponies. Totally, the new Telluride Concept would get the combined power output of 400 ponies. The electric motor will be positioned on the rear axle.

The new Kia concept SUV will be offered with the all-wheel-drive system as standard. The new concept vehicle is expected to offer better highway mileage of 30 mpg. These are all only the presumptions because Kia has not yet revealed anything about the powertrain specifications.
