The 2016 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Special Edition is a hand built sports coupe manufactured by Aston Martin Lagonda Limited. The British manufacturer made the first ever Vantage in 2005 which was capable of facing the fiercest sports car at the time; Porsche 911.
The all new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is updated with many new exterior features. The most noticeable are the new front and rear aero gear which comprise of a massive rear wing and an extended front splitter. Aston says that they prove to have a prominent effect on the car’s down-force and provide stability at higher speeds. The car also gets a three-stage active suspension and race track focused suspension-geometry equipped with up-rated springs.
Lets head to the wheels; the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is equipped with Brembo GT3 brake calipers (six and four piston, front and rear respectively) in silver, black, yellow and grey. The 7 spoke satin-black, 19 inch (9.5 inch wide and 11.5 inches wide, front and rear respectively) wheels house Michelin Pilot Super Sports tires.
A 100 kg / 220 pounds weight was saved by equipping the sports car with a carbon-fiber hood and front fenders and a light-weight mesh front grille. Other features are titanium center exhaust outlets, gloss-black window surrounds and orange highlights. Aston Martin Vantage GT3 2016 Interior
Details have not been announced regarding the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 interior but we do know that it is equipped with a carbon fiber center console and carbon fiber shell race-style seats (for weight reduction purpose). Other features are a touch sensitive control panel, carbon-fiber GT3 sill plates, GT3 embroidered head-rests and a climate control system. Aston also offers a “Q by Aston Martin” personalization facility.
Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Engine, Specs, 0-60
The special edition Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is equipped with a 6.0 liter 48-valve V12 engine equipped with 7 speed automatic shiftable transmission. The powerful engine can produce a 592 horsepower at 7000 rpm and a torque of 461 pound-feet at 5500 rpm. The car accelerates in 3.5 seconds from 0-60 mph with an estimated top speed of 185 mph rumors said it will be 200 mph.
2016 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Release Date and Price
The release date for the all new Vantage GT3 has not yet been announced but it is expected to arrive at the dealerships in the last quarter of 2015 or in the beginning of 2016. Although the special edition Vantage won’t be available for sale in America, its price is estimated to range around a smacking $400,000 / £250,000.
Only 100 units will be made for the new Vantage Special Edition, which Aston won’t be selling to anyone who wishes to own this beauty, you need to deserve it!
