\When the 2016 model Volvo XC90 was introduced in 2014, the largest part of the world was amazed about the awesome look of the model. Volvo, the leading Swedish multinational auto manufacturer, has been always recognized for offering quality vehicles, but the Swedish automaker is also prided itself in being more preserved than other auto manufacturers. Moreover, the 2017 Volvo XC90 Polestar, while reserved to a few, is a very impressive shift for Volvo.
The swoopy lines and Thor’s hammer headlights are new for this Swedish sport utility vehicle, as is its insane, double-engine, plug-in hybrid edition. In spite of its awesomeness, the earlier XC90 was still deficient in something, some adore from Polestar. Buyers have no necessity to wait for a longer period because it is reported that Volvo has handed the T6 and D5 versions of the XC90 to its modification and motorsports arm.
2017 Volvo XC90 Polestar Redesign, Exterior
The outside part of the 2017 XC90 is expected to come with all of the customary accumulations, counting muscular wheels and the iconic Rebel Blue shade. However, the celebrity of the show will be the body kit, which will be based on the R-Design upgrade. This kit is expected to include a more violent front apron with bigger openings to allow fresh air. The front part comes with a more aggressive bumper and its lower piece comes with extensions beneath every inlet and a splitter-like component in the middle.
The vehicle’s side-sill extensions and an athletic back bumper are wrapped around the bigger exhaust pipe. The wheels carry a frivolous design, and the tailgate and the front grille come holding a pair of blue Polestar badges. The new Volvo XC90 2017 also comes equipped with a bigger spoiler over the trunk lid for a more athletic look.
The new vehicle also comes equipped with improved Ohlins dampers, broad and sticky tires, thicker anti-roll bars and Brembo brakes to keep it on the tarmac.
2017 Volvo XC90 Polestar Interior
The cabin is expected to be both sophisticated and athletic. It is expected that the cabin will be equipped with a suite of sports seats to offer a comfortable ride for both passengers and the driver. The new Volvo XC90 Polestar 2017 comes with a plethora of athletic accents throughout the cabin. The new vehicle may even go all-out and include a carbon fiber touches here and there.
When comes to technology, the XC90 will be offered with a standard package that comes with all standard and optional latest version equipment.
Some of the notable features incorporated in the package include the latest version of an audio system, loads of connectivity options, and a huge touch screen. Due attention has also been paid by Volvo to protect the vehicle and its inhabitants.
As it is a performance-oriented vehicle, it comes equipped with the latest version of the infotainment system, Polestar signature exhibit and a couple of additional options.
The next generation Volvo XC90 will work only on the T6 gasoline and the D5 diesel models, leaving the double-engine T8 version and its horsepower to its individual devices.
However, American buyers will not get the D5 variant, but it features a 2.0-liter capacity diesel engine that generates the maximum power and torque of 225 ponies and 346 pounds per foot respectively. While Volvo did not reveal the potential numbers, it is expected that the new Polestar can drive this diesel unit to 275 HP of power and 387 pounds per foot of twist.
In the United States, buyers will get the T6 Polestar only. In its standard system, the XC90 T6 acquires 316 ponies and 295 pounds per foot of twist from its four-cylinder, 2.0-liter capacity supercharged and turbocharged engine. 2017 Volvo XC90 Polestar engine will likely to get the maximum power and torque of 375 ponies and 350 pounds per foot respectively, so not to retard the range-leading T8, rated at 400 ponies and 472 pounds per foot. It goes from 0-60 mph for 5 sec, with top speed of 155 mph(est).
