The 2017 Tesla SUV comes equipped with a 90 kWh capacity battery set. With this battery, the 90D(weaker motor) version covers the maximum distance of 257 miles with the efficiency rating of 92 MPGe. The 2017 Tesla Model X engine offers the maximum power of 518 ponies and it accelerates the 90D to the 62 mph from the start in 4.8 seconds with the maximum velocity of 155 mph.
On the other hand, the P90D version comes equipped with two electric motors, one in the front and the other at the back. The front motor produces the utmost power of 259 ponies, whereas the rear motor produces the utmost power of 503 ponies, thus offering the vehicle the combined power output of 762 ponies and the combined torque of 713 lb-ft.
These motors make the P90D attain the speed of 62 mph from the start in the same 3.8 seconds in the normal mode and 3.2 seconds in the Ludicrous mode, with the maximum velocity of 155 mph. If we look time to get the quarter mile distance, it goes for 11.7 s (Ludicrous P90D) and 12.2 s (P90D). Base cost and the date of release
2017 Model X release date is expected to be the fourth quarter of 2016 with the starting price of $ 100,000 in the case of 90D. The starting price of the red P90D Signature is estimated to be $ 132,000, whereas that of the red P90D(Ludicrous option) cost will be $ 142,000 – $144,950. The Model X 70D engine option is still officially unavailable, the price should be about $80,000.
