The 2017 Nissan Armada is a four-door sport utility vehicle that comes with the front engine design. Nissan, the leading Japanese auto manufacturer is getting ready to release an updated model of the current Armada for the 2017 model year. While Nissan has done a fine job in concealing the new life-sized sport utility vehicle from inquisitive eyes, an allegedly leaked image offers some hints about the new model vehicle.

Easily visible from a distance, the 2017 Armada SUV will be derived from the Infiniti QX80. Earlier reports state that the structural design will be the only thing shared between the two vehicles, as the majority of the inside trim will imitate the QX80, as well. As before, it comes with the same three trim levels, such as SL, SV and Platinum.

The change in the structural design causes a reduction in its wheelbase length by 2.0 inches that comes to a total of 121.1 inches. The length, width and height are also changed such that the vehicle comes with an increase in length and width by 1.2 inches and 0.6 inches respectively and a reduction in its height by 1.4 inches. Thus, the resultant external dimension of the new Armada would be 208.9″ (L) x 79.9″ (W) x 75.8″ (H). All models will be offered with LED headlights, whereas the SL model will be offered with a set of 20-inch alloy wheels.

The new architecture also shrinks the interior space of the SUV to some extent. The passenger volume in the cabin has been diminished by 1.2 cubic feet, 5.5 cubic feet, and 5.2 cubic feet in the first, second and third seat rows respectively. The available cargo capacity behind these seats is also reduced by 2.0 cubic feet, 7.1 cubic feet, and 3.4 cubic feet. Totally, the total volume available in these three seat rows has become 95.1, 49.6, and 16.6 cubic feet respectively.

Another unflattering transform comparative to the Titan-derived Armada is the curb weight that increases by 100 lbs to 300 lbs, depending on the model.
The cabin of the new Nissan Armada 2017 is designed with four doors with three rows of seats. Though the inside space is slightly less than earlier model, it can offer a comfortable sitting space for seven to eight people.

All models will be offered with the latest navigation system with weather and traffic information operated by the SiriusXM shown on an 8.0-inch color exhibit. It also comes outfitted with heated front seats, the Bose audio system with 13 speakers, and dual-zone temperature control with an oblique-airflow drape over the seats in the middle row seats.
On the other hand, the SL models come with keyless entry and remote engine start/stop, a power-folding 60: 40 third-row seat, a power lift gate, and a 360-degree camera.

next generation Nissan Armada Platinum model come outfitted with a power moonroof, heated middle-row seats, cooled front seats, rear amusement, and all the safety devices, such as foretelling forward collision alert that monitors the possible hazard two cars ahead, backup-collision intervention, blind-spot intervention, etc. The front side windows and the windshield come with the sound-absorbing audio glass.

Engine

All models will be offered with the 4WD or RWD system, but through explaining some of the weight boost, standard equipment levels are enhanced significantly. The new model Armada will be powered by a V8, directed injected engine with the capacity of 5.6 liters. This will generate the required power of 390 ponies and 401 pounds of the required torque. The 2017 Nissan Armada engine will be coupled with a seven-velocity mechanical transmission.

This engine offers the new model Armada a maximum towing capacity of 8500 pounds (approx 3637 kg).
The engine also accelerates the 2017 Armada from the stationary mode to the 60 mph velocity within 6.7 seconds. The vehicle can also achieve better fuel economy through the engine that makes it to offer city, highway and combined mileage of 14 mpg, 20 mpg and 16 mpg respectively.
