Ford first unveiled the present Escape at the 2013 Auto Show in Los Angeles. Now, at the same show, the automaker unveiled a redesigned version of the current Escape for the model year 2017. The new 2017 Ford Escape comes as a trendy compact crossover, overflowing with new technology features, fuel-competent turbocharged engines and redesigned external and internal styling. Though still good-looking, the appearance of the new Escape is going to attract younger buyers, similar to the latest vehicles, such as the Fiesta, Fusion and the Focus. The attractive internal and external stylizing and powerful engines will make the new Escape a strong competitor to vie with its powerful rivals, such as the Mazda CX-5, Chevrolet Equinox, RAV4 and the CR-V.

2017 Ford Escape Redesign

The 2017 Escape shares its novel six-sided thin grille with the Fusion and Edge models. There are two horizontal bars within the grille, holding the emblem of Ford. The external part of the new Escape has been modernized with HID headlamps and LED daylight running lights. The lights assume jagged, angular form. The front bumper of the new vehicle has been set with a vast center cut-out with two petite hollows. The fog lights of the vehicle are fixed below the headlamps. The front wheels are accommodated with parking sensors and low-installed air deflectors.

When the new Escape is viewed from the sides, the vehicle looks like the current Escape a lot. There is a brawny belt line running beneath the windows and it kinks at the D-pillar in the upward direction. There is as well a hard pronunciation line, flowing through the door grips, making the new vehicle appear wider. At the back, the new Escape is outfitted with innovative taillights. It also features double exhaust tips beneath the bumper and a two-inch trailer catch receiver.

It is also anticipated that the existing version of the SYNC infotainment system will be modernized, together with keys across the dashboard.
