The Chrysler 200 is the smallest sedan in the Chrysler lineup since 2012. There have been rumors that the automaker is planning to release much smaller and more economical vehicle than the Chrysler 200 for the model year 2017. Now, the automaker is going to release the 2017 Chrysler 100 CUV with the similar platform as that of the Dart. As the improvement took longer than anticipated, it appears that the new model 100 will actually be released sometime during the last part of 2016. Other models that are going to be constructed on this same platform include Fiat 500 X, Jeep Renegade and the upcoming Dodge Dart. The new small sedan will, in fact, be a hatchback instead of a sedan and it will be quite a little more inspiring when it comes to the internal equipment and the accessible engines.

New Chrysler 100 2017 Interior

Inside the cabin of the 2017 Chrysler 100, things will be fairly a bit more diverse because this vehicle will be a premium sedan rather than a sporty replica. The cabin is equipped with a new dashboard, whereas the steering wheel is probably going to be borrowed from the Chrysler 200. The base model is expected to come with standard interior features that include an infotainment system with surround acoustic, an automatic temperature control system and five leather-covered seats, whereas the higher end models would come with ventilated seats, as well, as standard. However, the cabin of the vehicle comes with a less cargo space than that of the Dart, but there will be more space for its passengers because of the taller and wider body.

2017 Chrysler 100 Changes, Exterior

Back in 2012, a replica was equipped with a Chrysler front grille and the name, 100, was on its rear, but that model was nothing, but an enlargement mule derived from the Giulietta. There have not been any sort of news since 2012, but just lately, reliable sources confirmed that the novel Chrysler 100 is definitely going to be something inspiring and the most excellent part is that it will not be like the Alfa Romeo with a diverse badge.
The front fascia will be borrowed from the design of the Chrysler 300, but only the niceties. It will acquire distinctive headlights in addition to a more aggressive front bumper than their standard models. The back part of the new vehicle will also be all fresh, which has not been equipped in any of its models released so far. It appears that the manufacturing model will really feature a LED bar, which will be included in the taillights at the back part of the vehicle. The size will resemble that of the Dart, but it will be broader and somewhat taller and it is expected to come with a petite wheelbase.

Specs, mpg

The 2017 Chrysler 100 engine is expected to be equipped with the same smaller option as that of the Dodge Dart. As a result, the new vehicle comes equipped with 4-cylinder engine with the displacement of 2.4 liters, which will produce a maximum of 200 hp power and 180 lbs per foot of maximum torque. The engine will be coupled with a nine-pace computerized transmission to make the new vehicle to provide a city and highway mileage of 23 mpg and 28 mpg respectively. There is also the probability that this engine will equip the four-wheel drive model.
It is also going to be outfitted with a small turbocharged engine with the capacity of 1.4 liters. This will produce a maximum of power of 160 horsepower 184 lbs per foot of maximum torque. This engine will be coupled with a six-velocity mechanical transmission.
According to reliable resources, the 2017 Chrysler sedan is going to be powered by V6, Pentastar engine with the displacement of 3.2 liters.
