This Inline engine has been tuned to two different levels to offer different powertrain figures. All models, except the Sport Touring model, would get the utmost power of 138 ponies and the utmost torque of 148 pounds per foot whereas the Sport Touring model would get the utmost power of 153 ponies and the utmost torque of 177 pounds per foot.
The 2017 Buick Encore engine accelerates the new Encore to attain the velocity of 60 mph from the start in 9.8 seconds. The engine will be paired with a six-velocity mechanical transmission to transmit power to all the wheels.
2017 Encore will be offered with the four-wheel drive system. The base model offers a city, highway and combined mileage of 25, 33 and 28 mpg respectively, whereas 4WD models offer the a city, highway and combined mileage of 23, 30 and 26 mpg respectively.
Price and the release date
The 2017 Buick Encore release date is expected to be the third quarter of 2017 and the new vehicle will be available at a base cost of $24,065.
