Even though the 2016 model Audi TT was unveiled during early 2014, it did not arrive at the US market until 2015. The TT-RS story started during 2009, 11 years following the launch of the Audi TT and three years after the introduction of the TT Mk2. Available as both a roadster and a coupe, it climbed on top of the TTS in the TT series. Whether the elevated performance TT-RS will have the similar fate is still secrecy, but the superior news is that the German automaker has just revealed the beefed-up coupe and the roadster body styles of the 2017 Audi TT RS at the 2016 Auto Show in Beijing, where the automaker dropped the official details of the 2017 Audi TT RS Roadster. It remains to be observed whether North America will acquire it before 2017, but when that occurs, the American gearheads will acquire the most powerful and the lightest TT ever manufactured.

The external design of the next generation Audi TT Roadster is based on the third-generation TT, which indicates that it comes equipped with a sharp grille, a revamped bumper and a set of redesigned headlamps in the front. Making the car appear far more hostile than its standard sibling is the honeycomb, single outline grille, the bigger air intakes in the front bumper, and the silver blade-like component at the base of the apron. The profile is further enhanced by Beefier side skirts and fenders, carbon fiber mirror caps, and recently designed wheels.
Around rear, the new 2017 Audi TT RS Convertable comes equipped with a revamped bumper, a fixed back wing, and two big, elliptical exhaust tailpipes. Buyers can restore the fixed wing with a retractable part optionally.
Styling sideways, the new TT-RS Roadster marks the debut of the Matrix OLED expertise of Audi on series-production tail lamps as an option. Each Matrix tail lamp includes four wafer-slim units that turn into smaller from the inside out. The largest of them holds the TT emblem and the four rings of Audi. What creates this expertise extraordinary is that the Matrix OLEDs release an exceptionally homogeneous, high-contrast glow, which can be incessantly dimmed, and it does not shed any shadows and does not need any reflectors. The same expertise is also available for the headlights, otherwise outfitted with LED expertise as standard.

Much similar to the earlier-generation model, the inside is derived from that of the standard car, but it is enhanced by features that are more athletic. Highlights comprise red accents on the air conditioning vents, red sewing on the gear shifter, middle console, and doors panels, and an even bottom leather-covered steering wheel with an RS emblem. The steering wheel features two operating keys for turning the powertrain on and off and for the Drive Select utility.
All models of the new Audi TT RS Roadster 2017 will be offered with a screen of size 12.3 inches as part of an instrument cluster. It can be utilized in three views, counting a special RS monitor that accentuates the rev counter and offers information on g-force, torque, and tire pressure, amongst other things. The electronic cluster also shows a shift light, which tells the driver that the engine maximum has been attained, just similar to a rally sedan. The sportiness of the new vehicle is further improved by the carbon fiber and aluminum border on the door panels, center console, bolstered seats and the sports pedals.
The 2017 Audi TT comes equipped with a redesigned version of the 2.5-liter capacity, turbo-five frivolous constructed power plant, which is 22 pounds (10 kg) more frivolous than the engine of the earlier model. This power plant produces the peak power of 400 ponies, which is 60 ponies more than that of the second-generation TT-RS and 40 ponies than that of TT-RS Plus. It also delivers the peak twist of 354 pounds per foot, which is 22 pounds per foot more than that of the earlier TT-RS and 12 pounds per foot that of the TT-RS Plus.
With this 2017 Audi TT RS Roadster engine, car attains speed from 0-62 mph speed from the start in 3.7 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds faster than that of the earlier model. The new vehicle also gets the maximum velocity of 174 mph. The powerplant will be mated to the only available seven-velocity, double-clutch S-Tronic gearbox and the vehicle will be offered with the Quattro all-wheel drive configuration as standard.
Base price and the date of release
Although Audi has not yet confirmed the base price and the date of release, but it is expected(from our sources) that the 2017 Audi TT RS Roadster release date will be the last part of 2016 with the estimated base price of $68,000.
