It is more than a year when the fresh Audi Q7 was unveiled at the 2015 auto show held in Detroit. Now, the enthusiasts of Audi vehicles are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the new SQ7 since the release of the spy shots of the model a year back. The fans believed that it would take some more time to see the new SQ7 because Audi had not uttered a single word about the release during the press release at the auto show held in Geneva in 2016.

Instead, the German automaker removed the covers of the 2017 Audi SQ7 at its Ingolstadt headquarters. This time, it will come with different external design, new powertrain technology and with either five or seven seater options. Above all, this is the first time the automaker is throwing the S handling at its biggest sports utility vehicle.

Although the next gen SQ7 looks identical to the Q7 at a glance, there are some differences in the outside design. The front part comes equipped with a sculpted grille, which is outlined in aluminum and an aluminum insert is blocking its base. Although the hood, headlights and fog lights are identical to those of Q7, the fascia comes with the aluminum functional corner vents. The new vehicle holds an SQ7 insignia to one side of the Audi emblem.

When observed from the sides, there is not much difference between the new SQ7 and Q7, except the aluminum-made door bump panels and the side mirrors. 2017 SQ7 comes equipped with a set of five-spoke aluminum wheels, but there is a gap between each of the two arms of the spokes.

At the back, the new Audi comes with the same taillights and projection on the hatch, similar to those of Q7, but there is a TDI insignia to the opposite of the SQ7 insignia. The rear fascia comes with corner reflectors and below those reflectors, there is an aluminum diffuser with embossed mesh at the top. The other major change is the rectangle, quad exhaust pipes protruding from the corners of the aluminum back diffuser.
