The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is the first sedan in an eight-product attack from Italy, scheduled for the subsequent three years. The future product portfolio of Alfa Romeo has finally been established and as forecasted. The brand will be targeting the mainstream luxury brands of Germany with light and athletic vehicles with aggressive engines and a plethora of Italian flair.
2017 Giulia Quadrifoglio will feature five core qualities, such as highly developed, pioneering engines, ideal weight sharing, a suite of matchless technical solutions, class elite power-to-weight ratios and innovative and unique Italian design. The model will be offered completely with all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive or with both configurations, as well. The 2017 model Giulia Quadrifoglio is the direct rival of the BMW M3.
2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Changes, Exterior
The 2017 Alfa Romeo sedan will feature the best-in-category torsion firmness, the best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of seven pounds for each horsepower, and a 50:50 front and back weight balance due to smart design and frivolous materials. The drive shaft, roof and hood are made of carbon fiber, whereas the fenders, doors, front and back subframes, suspension and mirrors are aluminum components. An aluminum compound and plastic cross member shed the weight of the back part of the vehicle while discretionary carbon ceramic brakes weigh 50 % as much as the normal cast iron rotors and put the unsprung weight aside at all four corners.
The new vehicle comes equipped with a double wishbone front suspension and with a multi-link independent back suspension. The vehicle comes with the DNA Pro drive-mode selector of Alfa as standard, providing Natural, Advanced Efficiency. Also Race and Dynamic modes that regulate the brake and steering sense, as well as the transmission, engine, and throttle response. The Advanced Efficiency mode will make the cylinder deactivation active, as well, whereas the Race mode will activate the turbocharger over boost, unlock the baffles of a two-mode exhaust structure, and close the electronic stability control.
The 2017 Quadrifoglio will also come with adaptable dampers, automatic torque vectoring, and an incorporated Brake System that decreases the stopping distances. The new vehicle comes equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, featuring 6-piston calipers and 15.4-inch sized rotors in the front and 4-piston calipers and 14.2-inch sized rotors at the back. The new vehicle will come to stop mode from the 60 mph speed, stopping at a distance of 102 feet with the Brembo carbon ceramic brake system.
The 2017 model Giulia Quadrifoglio would sprint on the standard frivolous Dark Gray or Bright Silver, forged aluminum Technical wheels with the size of 19 x 8.5 inches in the front, wearing three-season 235/35R19 sized Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. The back part of the vehicle comes equipped with 19 x 10-inch sized wheels, wearing three-season 285/30R19 sized Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan interior comes with a simple and athletic design. Sloping toward the driver, similar to in any full-grown sports sedan, the dashboard comes mounted with a huge instrument cluster and an infotainment monitor embedded over the center stack. The knobs and buttons are abridged to a minimum in an overall spotless design, with two round air conditioning vents on both sides. Captivatingly enough, the new Giulia Quadrifoglio does not have the loop-style dashboard seen on nearly all modern vehicles.
The new vehicle will have an abundance to brag about as far as quality features go. The steering wheel of the vehicle will be wrapped in Alcantara and leather, whereas the armrest, dashboard and door panels come with contrast sewing. The athletic seats are also upholstered in Alcantara and leather, whereas the center console features carbon fiber casing.
2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Engine
The 2017 Giulia Quadrifoglio comes equipped with a Ferrari-based, V-6 bi-turbo engine, with the displacement of 2.9 liters. This all-aluminum engine is capable of producing the peak power of 505 ponies and a peak torque of 443 pounds per foot. The engine is designed with the start/stop expertise and cylinder deactivation technology, which is capable of causing a 15 % improvement in fuel economy. The engine accelerates the new vehicle to the 60 mph velocity from the start in 3.8 seconds on its way to a peak velocity of 191 mph. The engine will be mated to a six-velocity manual transmission as standard and an automatic or a double-clutch transmission will be offered as an option.
