The 2016 Volkswagen Jetta is a bit aggressive around the edges, but it is still a liberally sized compact sedan with first-rate engines and just enough German qualities to set it apart. It comes equipped with large backseat and trunk, energetic and fuel-competent turbocharged engines and a receptive hybrid powertrain. The slow and incompetent base engine of the current Jetta has finally been revealed the door, replaced by an up-to-date, small four-cylinder turbocharged engine in some of its trim levels.

All models of the new Jetta also get an innovative touch-screen interface as standard, whereas advanced accident prevention technology comes as an option. The 2016 model Jetta will be released with four different engines and with four trim levels, such as S, SE, Sport, and SEL. It also comes with GLI and Hybrid variants.

Each model comes with individual packages that include a host of external features. As a result, the S model of the anew Jetta will be offered with a set of steel wheels with the diameter of 15 inches, whereas the SE model comes equipped with a suite of alloy wheels of diameter 16 inches.

On the other hand, the Sports trim will be offered with 17-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension and fog lights, whereas the SEL model would revert to normal suspension tuning, but adds dissimilar 17-inch wheels, automatic headlamps, and wipers.
The Sport and SEL models come with a Lighting package that includes LED running lights and adaptive bi-xenon headlights.

When coming to the new Volkswagen Jetta GLI 2016 trim, it comes in SEL and SE trim levels and they basically line up with the standard Jetta models, but both feature a sport-tuned suspension, improved brakes, special external styling elements, automatic headlights, and wipers. The SEL trim additionally comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive bi-xenon headlights and LED running lights.
The 2016 VW Jetta Hybrid variant comes as the SEL Premium only, which features identical extras as the GLI and SEL models, plus extra hybrid-specific exterior styling components.

Some of the optional features available with the SEL trim through the Driver Assistance package include:

When coming to the 2016 VW Jetta GLI trim, it comes in SEL and SE trim levels and they basically line up with the standard Jetta models, but both feature special internal styling elements, such as sports seats. The Connectivity package elements include keyless ignition and entry, front and back parking sensors and a fender sound system. The SEL trim additionally comes with a blind spot alert, a navigation system, and a rear cross-traffic alert system.
The Hybrid comes only as the SEL Premium, which features identical extras as the GLI and SEL trims, in addition to extra hybrid-specific interior styling components and tour computer readouts.

Base price and the release date

It seems that the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta release date will not be the same for all of its models. The S and SE models of the new Jetta were released before the concluding part of 2015 with the base price of $ 18,500 and $ 19,815 respectively. As the release date of the GLI and hybrid models will be after first two, Volkswagen does not yet confirm their release date and 2016 VW Jetta pricing.
