Toyota has brought its now 2015 Toyota Prius V, a five-passenger compact wagon to the market. The new Prius V is basically a tall wagon version of the basic Prius Liftback model. It is considered to be the largest model in the Prius line up and hence it is more fuel efficient and roomier than its predecessor.
The new 2015 Toyota Prius V is available in four different trim levels, level 2, 3, 4 & 5. The front bumper and grille are redesigned and Toyota-first LED projector low- and high-beam headlights and fog lights are incorporated on the bumper. It has a rear liftgate with single piece of continuous glass. The new Prius is available in striking new colors including Attitude Black Metallic, Absolutely Red and tasty Toasted Walnut Pearl. Trim levels 2, 3, 4 come with 16 inch alloy wheels where as 17 inch alloy wheels are offered with trim 5.

The interior of the new Toyota Prius V 2015 has been remodeled to hold a more comfortable and cleaner look with sofTex trimmed seats. The driving seat is eight way powered along with lumbar support. It offers large cargo space, so people can even bring larger items like bicycles and strollers along for the ride. The cargo space can be expanded by sliding the rear seats. It also has little storage compartments to fit in items like your cell phone or gloves.
A panoramic sunroof is available in trim level 5 and optional with trim level 3 & 4. Other standard features include a rearview camera, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth and audio connectivity. Trim 1 level offers 6.1-inch central touchscreen, whereas the rest of the trims include 4.2-inch TFT screen.

The new Toyota Prius V 2015 is powered by a gasoline engine alone, battery alone, or a combination of both. It follows the Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain, which combines the output of a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric motor. The combination provides an output of 138 hp. The fuel consumption is 44 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 10.3 seconds. The standard safety features include antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag and a rearview camera. An Advanced Technology package is included in trim level five.
